if you're prepared for any boss, it can be normal to easy to defeat... if you're not prepared... i'd say the hardest bosses are Rotscale, Shiro (in Gate of Madness), Glint, and Kanaxai

ive got to say the dijinn boss in scatoth valley (the elementalist) was extreemly strong and from my experience the strongest boss we had a group of humans and that boss and its group killed us till we got kicked from area from dp it was in HM btw

EDIT

that sounded stupid to me so let me rephrase it sencibly

in hardmode with a group of vanquishers we went into the burning forest in sanctoth valley and we ran into an elementalist boss who killed our group repetedly untill we got sent back to outpost

When I read the thread title I immediately thought Rotscale.

Joffs the Mitigator, Kunvie Firewing, Argo, and The Drought for the possible party wipe if HH are balled.

Shiro - he's just a PITA...

Zoldark and Fendi - tough dungeon bosses

I'll think of more...

For me, if I had to name some EotN boss outside dungeons I'd rather say Borrguus Blisterbark.
But everything is subjective, everyone find difficulties in different bosses.
Frigid Armor will do da job even if ur using fire ele ... I do this for korr in Nightfall and thats how I capped my favourite skill searing flames.

If you aren't prepared...Duncan the Black. There are multiple ways to beat most bosses. Not many ways to beat him.

Ehm, none of them if youre prepared right all of them if youre not. Thought about Fendi Nin first but you can always kill him with a couple of tries at worst, even did that in HM during 7h era. Then you have Rotscale, this is perhaps a favorite of mine because of the way the archers are placed. You get almost instantly spiked when running up to him. But then again, bring a character with some proper blocking or an AP build and it's crazy easy. Dhuum, he's easy too with the right build. Extremely annoying without but that's just about it. You can kill him unprepared with 7h.

Shiro though, I can't recall ever wiping on him ever since NF launch and no I don't bring any skill to counter him at all. Not even stance cancel it's just straight up kill him and get it over with.

Zoldark the Unholy though, he can be a real pain if you come unprepared.. Remember getting a run for him and we had to bring damage for boss, but it was just ridicilous so me as a SoS and a imbagon ended up duoing him in HM.

Perhaps I simply have to go with Borrgus Blisterbark, not because he's anywhere near unbeatable. But because he's fast and moves around in a pretty big area, which means there's a high chance of having him ambush you while you don't suspect it. That said I've never failed on any of em.. Not even on Duncan the Black HM with 3 heroes + henchmen. It's simple, you just kill them and that's it.

I've killed him with "Human Rit Spiritway" back in the pre 7h days in HM. Wasn't prepared at all, didnt bring swap or anything didn't even know what duncans defence was. Just some proper hero flagging and playing dodgeball and in the end he died. Actually Duncan Dodgeball should be a sport! xD

Tbh, I've beaten him in nm when we had the totally wrong setup for him...we were there just to do one of the other bosses but just for a laugh we went for Duncan too...it took ages but we did it without any of the skills/tactics that should be used....and some of the heroes were even standing there doing nothing or ignoring the flags and going to suicide at spirits. Anniying boss, but I wouldn't call him one of the hardest.
Sure Fendi Nin is a lot more of a nightmare. And Rotscale if you don't have a smithers team.
Dhumm, never tried it...

If you're unprepared, there's a long list of candidates:

Rotscale, Dhuum, Fendi Nin (along with a couple of other dungeon bosses), B. Blisterbark, Arneh the Vigorous (Joko's Domain), Kanaxi, Mallyx, etc. etc.

If you're prepared for whatever boss you're facing, they're not so tough.

...This is a thread from 2010. I highly doubt the OP is still looking for answers.

If you're going to dig up old threads, make sure you've got a good reason for bumping them. Responding to posts from 2007/2010 is not such a reason.
